C.    Final Paper

You are expected to write an 5-7 page research paper on any topic related to Women in Criminal Justice.  The paper shall be a minimum of five, double-spaced typed pages, typed in APA 5th ed format and contain the following:

1.          Title Page.  Centered on the page Your title, Your name and The course

2.         Introduction includes (a) narrative hook, why would someone want to read the paper? (b) problem or rationale for study; Why did you want to study this topic? (c) significance of problem; and (d) roadmap, describe to the reader what is forthcoming in the paper.  Remember to only use 12 font, Ariel or Times New Roman style.  Margins are 1"...top, bottom and sides.  Everything is double spaced, unless you use a direct quote.  In that case, you indent 1/2" and single space the quote.

3.        Literature Review includes at least four peer-reviewed journal articles. Compare and contrast what each article had to say about your topic.

4.        Findings.  Explain to me what you learned/discovered from the Workshop (observation, speakers, films, articles, etc...). 

5.                  Discussion/Conclusion.  Wrap it all up.  Compare what has been published (what you reported in the Literature Review) with what you learned from the findings.  What else should be researched?  What other questions do you have about the topic that could be further researched?

6.                  Reference Page.  Make sure it is APA 5th ed correct
